Spune servilor tăi visul şi noi îţi vom descoperi tâlcuirea"".5 "" Răspuns-a regele şi a zis către caldei: ""Să ştiţi că hotărârea am luat-o! Dacă nu-mi veţi face cunoscut visul şi tâlcuirea lui, veţi fi tăiaţi în bucăţi, iar casele voastre prefăcute în grămezi de ruine.6 "" Dar dacă îmi faceţi cunoscut visul şi tâlcuirea lui veţi primi de la mine daruri bogate şi cinstire multă; deci arătaţi-mi visul şi tâlcuirea lui!""7 "" Ei au răspuns pentru a doua oară şi au zis: ""0, rege, spune servilor tăi visul, iar noi îţi vom face cunoscută tâlcuirea lui!""8 "" Răspuns-a şi a zis regele: ""Fără îndoială, eu ştiu că voi căutaţi să câştigaţi vreme, fiindcă vedeţi că eu hotărârea am luat-o;9 "" Că dacă nu-mi faceţi cunoscut visul, este că aveţi de gând să vă sfătuiţi unul cu altul şi să spuneţi înaintea mea vorbe mincinoase şi înşelătoare, până când vremurile se vor schimba. De aceea spuneţi-mi acum visul şi eu voi şti dacă voi puteţi să-mi descoperiţi şi tâlcuirea lui!""10 "" Răspuns-au caldeii în faţa regelui şi au zis: ""Nu se află om pe pământ care să poată face cunoscut ceea ce cere regele, fiindcă nici un rege, oricât de mare şi de puternic ar fi, nu ar cere aşa ceva de la nici un tâlcuitor de semne, vrăjitor, sau caldeu.11 "" Şi lucrul pe care îl cere regele este greu şi nimeni altul nu poate să-l descopere înaintea lui, decât zeii al căror locaş nu este printre cei muritori"".12 " Din această pricină regele s-a mâniat şi, în marea lui furie, a poruncit să fie ucişi toţi înţelepţii din Babilon.13 Când a ieşit porunca, să fie omorâţi înţelepţii, trebuia să fie omorât şi Daniel şi cei dimpreună cu el.14 Atunci Daniel şi-a îndreptat cuvântul cu înţelepciune şi iscusinţă către Arioh, mai-marele gărzii regelui, care ieşise să omoare pe înţelepţii din Babilon,15 " Şi a început să grăiască către Arioh, împuternicitul regelui: ""De ce a dat regele o poruncă aşa de aspră?"" După ce Arioh i-a lămurit lui Daniel rostul poruncii,16 " Daniel a plecat şi a rugat pe rege să-i lase vreme ca să-i descopere tâlcul.17 După aceasta Daniel s-a dus în casa lui şi a dat de ştire lui Anania, Misael şi Azaria, prietenii lui, care este pricina,18 Cerându-le să roage fierbinte milostivirea lui Dumnezeu din ceruri pentru această taină, ca să nu lase să piară Daniel şi prietenii lui împreună cu ceilalţi înţelepţi ai Babilonului.19 Atunci i s-a descoperit lui Daniel taina aceasta într-o vedenie de noapte. Şi a preaslăvit Daniel pe Dumnezeul cerului.20 " Şi a început Daniel a grăi: ""Să fie numele lui Dumnezeu binecuvântat din veac şi până în veac, că a Lui este înţelepciunea şi puterea.21 " Şi El este Cel care schimbă timpurile şi ceasurile, Cel care dă jos de pe tron pe regi şi Cel care îi pune; El dă înţelepciune celor înţelepţi şi ştiinţă celor pricepuţi.22 El descoperă cele mai adânci şi cele mai ascunse lucruri, ştie ce se petrece în întuneric şi lumina sălăşluieşte cu El.23 " Pe Tine, Dumnezeule al părinţilor mei, Te preaslăvesc şi Îţi mulţumesc ţie, că mi-ai dat mie înţelepciune şi pricepere şi m-ai făcut să cunosc acum ceea ce noi Ţi-am cerut rugându-Te, căci Tu ne-ai descoperit taina regelui"".24 "" Apoi Daniel s-a dus la Arioh, pe care regele îl însărcinase să omoare pe înţelepţii Babilonului şi i-a grăit aşa: ""Nu da morţii pe înţelepţii Babilonului! Du-mă înaintea regelui şi eu îi voi descoperi regelui tâlcuirea"".25 "" Atunci Arioh a dus grabnic înăuntru pe Daniel în faţa regelui şi i-a vorbit astfel: ""Am găsit un iudeu dintre cei aduşi în robie care poate să tâlcuiască visul"".26 "" Răspuns-a regele şi a zis către Daniel, care se cheamă Beltşaţar: ""Oare eşti tu în stare să-mi spui visul pe care l-am avut precum şi tâlcuirea lui?""27 "" Daniel a răspuns înaintea regelui zicând: ""Taina pe care vrea să o afle regele nu pot s-o facă cunoscută lui nici înţelepţii, nici prezicătorii, nici vrăjitorii, nici cititorii în stele.28 " Dar este un Dumnezeu în ceruri, Care descoperă tainele şi Care a făcut cunoscut regelui Nabucodonosor ce se va întâmpla în vremurile ce vor veni. Iată care este visul şi vedenia pe care le-ai avut când erai culcat în patul tău:29 Ţie, rege, îţi treceau gânduri prin minte, când erai în patul tău, pentru ceea ce se va întâmpla mai pe urmă şi Cel ce ţi-a descoperit taina ţi-a dat să ştii ce va fi.30 Şi mie, nu prin înţelepciunea care ar fi în mine mai mult decât la toţi cei vii, mi s-a descoperit taina aceasta, ci ca să se facă ştiut regelui înţelesul ei ca să cunoşti gândurile inimii tale.31 O, rege! Tu priveai şi iată un chip - acest chip era peste măsură de mare şi strălucirea lui neobişnuită stătea înaintea ta şi înfăţişarea lui era grozavă.32 Acest chip avea capul de aur curat, pieptul şi braţele de argint, pântecele şi coapsele de aramă,33 Pulpele de fier, iar picioarele o parte de fier şi o parte de lut.34 Tu priveai şi iată o piatră desprinsă, nu de mână, a lovit chipul peste picioarele de fier şi de lut şi le-a sfărâmat.35 Atunci au fost sfărâmate în acelaşi timp fierul, lutul, arama, argintul şi aurul şi au ajuns ca pleava de pe arie vara şi vântul le-a luat cu sine fără ca să se găsească locul lor; iar piatra care a lovit chipul a crescut munte mare şi a umplut tot pământul.36 Iată visul, iar tâlcuirea lui o vom spune înaintea regelui.37 Tu, rege al regilor, căruia Dumnezeul cerului i-a dat regatul, puterea, tăria şi mărirea,38 Şi în mâinile căruia a dat pe fiii oamenilor în orice ţinut ar locui, precum şi fiarele câmpului şi păsările cerului şi i-a dat stăpânire peste toate, tu eşti capul de aur.39 Şi după tine se va ridica un alt regat mai mic decât al tău, apoi un al treilea regat de aramă, care va stăpâni peste tot pământul.40 Şi un al patrulea regat va fi tare ca fierul şi, după cum fierul sfărâmă şi zdrobeşte totul, aşa şi el va sfărâma şi va preface totul în pulbere, ca fierul care face totul bucăţi.41 Iar picioarele pe care le-ai văzut şi degetele, unele de lut de olar şi altele de fier, înseamnă că va fi un regat împărţit şi va fi tare ea fierul, după cum tu ai văzut fier amestecat cu lut.42 Şi degetele picioarelor, unele de fier şi altele de lut, înseamnă că regatul va fi parte tare, parte şubred.43 Şi după cum ai văzut fierul amestecat cu lutul, aşa se vor amesteca prin înrudiri, dar nu vor avea legătură temeinică între ele, după cum fierul nu se poate amesteca la un loc cu lutul.44 Iar în vremea acestor regi, Dumnezeul cerului va ridica un regat veşnic care nu va fi nimicit niciodată şi care nu va fi trecut la alt popor; El va sfărâma şi va nimici toate aceste regate şi singur El va rămâne în veci.45 " După cum tu ai văzut că o piatră a fost desprinsă din munte, nu de mână, şi a zdrobit fierul, arama, lutul, argintul şi aurul, Marele Dumnezeu a dat de ştire regelui ceea ce va fi în viitor; visul este adevărat şi tâlcuirea lui neîndoielnică"".46 " Atunci împăratul Nabucodonosor a căzut cu faţa la pământ şi s-a închinat înaintea lui Daniel şi a dat poruncă să-i aducă jertfe şi tămâieri.47 " Răspuns-a regele către Daniel şi a zis: ""Cu adevărat că Dumnezeul vostru este Dumnezeul dumnezeilor şi Stăpânul regilor, descoperitorul tainelor, căci tu ai putut să descoperi această taină"".48 " Atunci regele a ridicat la mare vrednicie pe Daniel şi i-a dat daruri şi numeroase lucruri de mare preţ şi 1-a pus guvernator peste tot ţinutul Babilonului şi căpetenie peste toţi înţelepţii Babilonului.49 La rugămintea lui Daniel, regele a însărcinat pe Şadrac, Meşac şi Abed-Nego cu ocârmuirea ţinutului Babilonului, iar Daniel a rămas la curtea regelui.
Daniel 7
1 În anul dintâi al lui Belşaţar, regele Babilonului, Daniel a visat un vis, şi vedeniile pe care le-a avut când era culcat în patul lui îl înfricoşară. Atunci el a scris visul şi a povestit ceea ce era mai de seamă dintre fapte.2 " Daniel a început a grăi, zicând: ""Văzut-am în vedenia mea din timpul nopţii cum cele patru vânturi ale cerului au sfredelit marea cea necuprinsă.3 " Şi patru fiare uriaşe au ieşit din mare, una mai deosebită decât alta.4 Cea dintâi semăna cu un leu şi avea aripi de vultur. M-am uitat la ea până ce aripile i-au fost smulse şi a fost ridicată de pe pământ şi pusă pe picioare ca un om şi i s-a dat inimă de an.5 " Şi iată o a doua fiară, cu înfăţişare de urs, stând într-o rână, cu trei coaste în gură, între dinţi, şi aşa i s-a poruncit: ""Scoală-te! Mănâncă multă carne!""6 " Apoi m-am uitat din nou şi iată o altă fiară, asemenea unui leopard, având pe spate patru aripi de pasăre; şi fiara avea patru capete, şi i s-a dat putere.7 În urmă am privit în vedeniile mele de noapte şi iată o a patra fiară înspăimântătoare şi înfricoşătoare şi nespus de puternică. Ea avea dinţi mari de fier şi gheare de aramă; mânca şi sfărâma, iar rămăşiţa o călca in picioare. Ea se deosebea de toate celelalte fiare de mai înainte şi avea zece coarne.8 M-am uitat cu luare aminte la coarne, şi iată un alt corn mic creştea între ele, şi trei din coarnele cele dintâi au fost smulse de el. Şi iată că acest corn avea ochi ca ochii de om şi gură care grăia lucruri mari.9 Am privit până când au fost aşezate scaune, şi S-a aşezat Cel vechi de zile; îmbrăcămintea Lui era albă ca zăpada, iar părul capului Său curat ca lâna; tronul Său, flăcări de foc; roţile lui, foc arzător.10 Un râu de foc se vărsa şi ieşea din el; mii de mii Îi slujeau şi miriade de miriade stăteau înaintea Lui! Pe mine, Daniel, gândurile mele m-au înfricoşat foarte şi faţa mi s-a schimbat şi am păstrat cuvântul în inima mea.

Revelation 12
1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.2 She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads seven diadems.4 His tail swept down a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she bore her child he might devour it.5 She gave birth to a male child, one who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne,6 and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days.7 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back,8 but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.12 Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! Revelation 13
1 And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads.2 And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority.3 One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast.4 And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”5 And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months.6 It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven.7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear:10 If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon.12 It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed.13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people,14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead,17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.
Revelation 17
1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters,2 with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on earth have become drunk.”3 And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names, and it had seven heads and ten horns.4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and jewels and pearls, holding in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality.5 And on her forehead was written a name of mystery: “Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth's abominations.”6 And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her, I marveled greatly.7 But the angel said to me, “Why do you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that carries her.8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come.9 This calls for a mind with wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is seated;10 they are also seven kings, five of whom have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he does come he must remain only a little while.11 As for the beast that was and is not, it is an eighth but it belongs to the seven, and it goes to destruction.12 And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast.13 These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast.14 They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.”15 And the angel said to me, “The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages.16 And the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast will hate the prostitute. They will make her desolate and naked, and devour her flesh and burn her up with fire,17 for God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.18 And the woman that you saw is the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth.”
