35 Pe când Iisus se apropia de Ierihon, un orb stătea la marginea drumului cerşind.36 Şi când a auzit cum se apropia mulţimea, a întrebat ce se întâmplă.37 I-au răspuns că trece Iisus din Nazaret.38 Iar el a strigat: „Iisuse, Fiul lui David, fie-ţi milă de mine!”39 Cei care mergeau cu el l-au certat ca să tacă, dar el striga şi mai tare: „Fiul lui David, ai milă de mine!”40 Iisus s-a oprit şi a poruncit să-l aducă la El. În timp ce se apropia, l-a întrebat:41 „Ce vrei să-ţi fac?” I-a răspuns: „Doamne, să văd din nou!”42 Iisus i-a zis: „Vezi! Credinţa ta te-a mântuit!”43 Şi îndată a văzut şi l-a urmat, slăvindu-l pe Dumnezeu, iar poporul care a văzut, îl lăuda pe Dumnezeu.
Mark 10
46 And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside.47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”48 And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.”50 And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus.51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
Matthew 20
29 And as they went out of Jericho, a great crowd followed him.30 And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”31 The crowd rebuked them, telling them to be silent, but they cried out all the more, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”32 And stopping, Jesus called them and said, “What do you want me to do for you?”33 They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”34 And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him.
Matthew 9
27 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.”28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.”29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about it.”31 But they went away and spread his fame through all that district.
