1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.9 Do your best to come to me soon.10 For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.11 Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is very useful to me for ministry.12 Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.13 When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments.14 Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.15 Beware of him yourself, for he strongly opposed our message.16 At my first defense no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. May it not be charged against them!17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion's mouth.18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Ephesians 2
1 Voi eraţi morţi din cauza greşelilor şi păcatelor voastre2 în care trăiaţi cândva, potrivit cu veacul acestei lumi, potrivit stăpânitorului puterii văzduhului, duhul care lucrează acum în cei neascultători.3 Între ei eram şi noi cândva, trăind în poftele trupului nostru, împlinind dorinţele trupului şi ale simţurilor, şi eram din fire sub mânia lui Dumnezeu, ca şi ceilalţi.4 Însă Dumnezeu, cel ce este bogat în milă, datorită marii lui iubiri pentru noi,5 pe când eram morţi din cauza greşelilor noastre, ne-a înviat împreună cu Hristos – prin har sunteţi mântuiţi!6 El ne-a înviat împreună cu Hristos şi ne-a aşezat împreună cu El în ceruri, în Hristos Iisus,7 pentru ca în veacurile viitoare să arate covârşitoarea bogăţie a harului său, în bunătatea sa faţă de noi, în Hristos Iisus.8 Fiindcă prin har sunteţi mântuiţi, prin credinţă, şi lucrul acesta nu este de la voi, este darul lui Dumnezeu,9 nu prin fapte, pentru ca nimeni să nu se laude.10 Fiindcă noi suntem făpturile lui, creaţi în Hristos Iisus, pentru faptele bune pe care Dumnezeu le-a pregătit de mai înainte, ca să le împlinim.11 De aceea, amintiţi-vă că în trecut voi, cei care eraţi păgâni prin naştere, numiţi „necircumcişi” de către cei numiţi „circumcişi”, dar circumcişi în trup de către oameni,12 amintiţi-vă că în vremea aceea eraţi fără Hristos, despărţiţi de poporul lui Israel şi străini de legămintele întemeiate pe făgăduinţa lui Dumnezeu, fără nădejde şi fără Dumnezeu în lume.13 Acum însă, în Iisus Hristos, voi, care în trecut eraţi departe aţi fost aduşi aproape, prin sângele lui Hristos.14 Fiindcă El este pacea noastră, Cel ce a făcut din două popoare unul singur şi a dărâmat zidul care le despărţea, desfiinţând în trupul său duşmănia dintre ele,15 Legea poruncilor cu prescripţiile ei. El a făcut toate acestea ca din cei doi să facă în El însuşi un singur om nou, făcând pace,16 şi prin cruce să îi împace pe amândoi cu Dumnezeu, într-un singur trup, nimicind prin ea duşmănia.17 El a venit şi a vestit pacea pentru voi, cei care eraţi departe, şi pacea pentru cei care erau aproape,18 fiindcă prin El, şi unii şi alţii, într-un singur Duh, avem calea deschisă spre Tatăl.19 Prin urmare, nu mai sunteţi străini şi fără drepturi, ci sunteţi concetăţeni ai sfinţilor şi membri ai familiei lui Dumnezeu,20 zidiţi pe temelia apostolilor şi a profeţilor, piatra din capul unghiului fiind însuşi Iisus Hristos.21 În El, toată construcţia este bine alcătuită şi creşte pentru a fi un templu sfânt, în Domnul.22 În El, sunteţi zidiţi şi voi, pentru a fi o casă a lui Dumnezeu, în Duhul.

Romans 8
31 Deci ce vom spune despre acestea? Dacă Dumnezeu este cu noi, cine este împotriva noastră?32 El, care nu l-a cruţat nici măcar pe Fiul său, ci l-a dat pentru noi toţi, cu cât mai mult nu ne va dărui totul împreună cu El?33 Cine îi va învinui pe aleşii lui Dumnezeu? Dumnezeu este cel care îndreptăţeşte.34 Cine îi condamnă? Hristos Iisus este cel ce a murit dar a şi înviat, cel care stă la dreapta lui Dumnezeu şi mijloceşte pentru noi.35 Cine ne va despărţi de iubirea lui Hristos? Necazul sau strâmtorarea, persecuţia sau foametea, lipsa de îmbrăcăminte, primejdia sau sabia?36 După cum stă scris: Pentru tine suntem daţi morţii în toate zilele, suntem socotiţi ca nişte oi de înjunghiat.37 Însă în toate acestea suntem mai mult decât învingători prin Cel care ne-a iubit.38 Sunt convins că nici moartea, nici viaţa, îngerii sau stăpânirile, nici cele de acum, nici cele viitoare, nici puterile,39 înălţimea ori adâncul şi nici vreo altă făptură nu ne vor putea despărţi de iubirea lui Dumnezeu în Hristos Iisus Domnul nostru.
