Jesus gently touches the wounded ear of Malchus, the servant of the high priest, in the torchlit garden during His arrest. Armed men press in from the shadows, while a soldier stands nearby and disciples react with alarm after the sword strike. The scene centers on Christ’s mercy at the very moment of betrayal and violence.
