De El să ascultaţi!” 36 Când s-a auzit glasul, Iisus a rămas singur. Iar ei au tăcut şi în zilele acelea n-au spus nimănui ce văzuseră. And he was transfigured before them, 3 and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them. 4 And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. 5 And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 6 For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified. 7 And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” 8 And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only. 9 And as they were coming down the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead. 10 So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what this rising from the dead might mean. 11 And they asked him, “Why do the scribes say that first Elijah must come?” 12 And he said to them, “Elijah does come first to restore all things. And how is it written of the Son of Man that he should suffer many things and be treated with contempt? 13 But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they did to him whatever they pleased, as it is written of him.” Matthew 171 După şase zile, Iisus a luat cu El pe Petru, Iacov şi Ioan, fratele lui şi i-a dus deoparte pe un munte înalt. 2 El s-a schimbat la faţă înaintea lor, iar faţa lui strălucea ca soarele şi hainele i s-au făcut albe ca lumina. 3 Şi iată că li s-a arătat Moise şi Ilie, stând de vorbă cu El. 4 Petru a luat cuvântul şi i-a zis lui Iisus: „Doamne, este bine să fim aici! Dacă vrei, am să fac aici trei corturi: unul pentru tine, unul pentru Moise şi unul pentru Ilie.” 5 Pe când vorbea el încă, iată că i-a acoperit un nor luminos cu umbra lui. Şi din nor s-a auzit un glas care zicea: „Acesta este Fiul meu preaiubit pe care l-am ales, de El să ascultaţi!” 6 Când au auzit, ucenicii au căzut cu feţele la pământ şi s-au înspăimântat foarte tare. 7 Dar Iisus s-a apropiat, s-a atins de ei şi le-a zis: „Sculaţi-vă, nu vă temeţi!” 8 Ei au ridicat ochii şi n-au văzut pe nimeni, decât pe Iisus singur. 9 Pe când se coborau de pe munte, Iisus le-a dat porunca următoare: „Să nu spuneţi nimănui despre viziunea aceasta, până când Fiul Omului nu va fi înviat din morţi.” 10 Ucenicii l-au întrebat: „Oare de ce zic cărturarii că mai întâi trebuie să vină Ilie?” 11 Iisus le-a răspuns: „Este adevărat că trebuie să vină întâi Ilie şi să aşeze din nou toate lucrurile. 12 Dar vă spun că Ilie a şi venit, iar ei nu l-au cunoscut, ci au făcut cu el ce au vrut. Tot aşa are să sufere şi Fiul Omului din partea lor.” 13 Ucenicii au înţeles atunci că le vorbise despre Ioan Botezătorul. |
