Nu pot să mă ridic să-ţi dau. 8 Vă spun că, dacă nu se va ridica să-i dea pentru că îi este prieten, măcar pentru stăruinţa lui se va scula să-i dea ce-i trebuie. 9 Şi eu vă spun: Cereţi şi vi se va da, căutaţi şi veţi găsi, bateţi şi vi se va deschide! 10 Fiindcă oricine cere primeşte, cine caută găseşte şi celui care bate i se va deschide. 11 Şi care tată dintre voi, căruia fiul său îi cere un peşte, îi dă în loc de peşte un şarpe? 12 Sau dacă îi cere un ou, îi dă un scorpion? 13 Astfel, dacă voi, care sunteţi răi, ştiţi să faceţi daruri bune copiilor voştri, cu atât mai mult Tatăl din cer îl va da pe Duhul Sfânt celor care îl cer.” 14 Iisus a alungat un demon de muţenie şi, după ce a ieşit demonul, mutul a vorbit, iar mulţimile se mirau. 15 Unii dintre ei spuneau: „Cu Beelzebul, căpetenia demonilor, alungă demonii.” 16 Alţii, ispitindu-l, cereau de la El un semn din cer. 17 Dar El, cunoscându-le gândurile, le-a spus: „Orice împărăţie care se dezbină dinăuntru se distruge şi casă peste casă cade. 18 Iar dacă Satan este dezbinat în el însuşi, cum va dăinui împărăţia lui? Voi spuneţi: Cu Beelzebul îi scoate pe demoni. 19 Dacă Eu scot demonii cu Beelzebul, fiii voştri cu cine îi scot? De aceea, chiar ei vor fi judecătorii voştri. 20 Însă dacă Eu cu degetul lui Dumnezeu scot demonii, atunci Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu a ajuns la voi. 21 Când un om puternic şi înarmat îşi păzeşte casa, avuţiile sale sunt în siguranţă. 22 Dar când vine unul mai puternic decât el şi îl învinge, îi ia armele în care se încredea şi împarte prada. 23 Cine nu este cu mine este împotriva mea şi cine nu adună cu mine risipeşte. 24 Când duhul necurat iese din om, umblă prin locuri fără apă şi caută odihnă. Şi pentru că nu găseşte, spune: Mă voi întoarce în casa din care am ieşit. 25 Când vine, o găseşte măturată şi împodobită. 26 Atunci merge şi aduce alte şapte duhuri mai rele decât el şi intră să locuiască acolo, iar starea acelui om ajunge mai rea decât la început.” 27 Pe când spunea El acestea, o femeie din mulţime i-a zis, ridicând glasul: „Fericit pântecele care te-a purtat şi sânul la care ai supt.” 28 Dar El a spus: „Dar şi mai fericiţi sunt cei care ascultă cuvântul lui Dumnezeu şi îl păzesc.” 29 Când s-au adunat mulţimile, Iisus a început să spună: „Generaţia aceasta este o generaţie rea. Ea cere un semn, dar nu i se va da nici un semn în afară de semnul lui Iona. 30 Aşa cum Iona a fost semn pentru niniviteni, la fel va fi şi Fiul Omului semn pentru această generaţie. 31 Regina de la miazăzi se va ridica la judecată împotriva oamenilor acestei generaţii şi îi va condamna pentru că ea a venit de la marginile pământului să asculte înţelepciunea lui Solomon, şi iată, cineva ai mare decât Solomon este aici. 32 Oamenii din Ninive se vor ridica la judecată împotriva acestei generaţii şi o vor condamna, fiindcă ei s-au pocăit şi s-au întors la Dumnezeu, la vestirea lui Iona, şi iată, cineva mai mare decât Iona este aici. 33 Nimeni, după ce aprinde o făclia, nu o pune într-un loc ascuns, ci în sfeşnic, pentru ca cei care intră să vadă lumina. 34 Cel care luminează trupul este ochiul tău. Când ochiul tău este limpede tot trupul tău este luminat, dar când este rău, şi trupul este întunecat. 35 Vezi aşadar, ca lumina din tine să nu fie întuneric. 36 Astfel, dacă tot trupul tău este luminat, fără nici o parte întunecată, va fi luminat în întregime, ca atunci când făclia te luminează cu strălucirea ei.” 37 Pe când vorbea, un fariseu l-a chemat să ia masa cu el. Iisus a intrat şi s-a aşezat la masă. 38 Văzându-l, fariseul s-a mirat că nu s-a spălat înainte să mănânce. 39 Dar Domnul a zis: „Voi, fariseilor, curăţaţi pe dinafară paharul şi farfuria dar pe dinăuntru sunteţi plini de jaf şi răutate. 40 Nebunilor! Oare cel care a făcut partea din afară nu a făcut-o şi pe cea de dinăuntru? 41 Ci faceţi milostenie din cele dinăuntru şi iată, toate vă vor fi curate. 42 Dar, vai vouă, fariseilor, fiindcă daţi zeciuială din mentă, din rută şi din toate ierburile şi lăsaţi la o parte judecata şi iubirea lui Dumnezeu! Dar pe acestea trebuia să le faceţi, fără să le lăsaţi deoparte pe celelalte. 43 Vai vouă, fariseilor, că iubiţi locurile din faţă în sinagogi şi vă place să fiţi salutaţi în pieţe! 44 Vai vouă, că sunteţi ca mormintele care nu se văd, iar oamenii se plimbă peste ele şi nu ştiu.” 45 Unul dintre învăţătorii Legii i-a răspuns: „Învăţătorule, spunând acestea, ne mustri şi pe noi.” 46 Dar El a spus: „Vai vouă, învăţători ai Legii, fiindcă îi încărcaţi pe oameni cu poveri greu de purtat, dar voi nici cu un deget nu le atingeţi. 47 Vai vouă, că ridicaţi morminte profeţilor pe care părinţii voştri i-au ucis. 48 Aşadar, sunteţi martori şi încuviinţaţi faptele părinţilor voştri, pentru că ei i-au ucis pe profeţi, iar voi le zidiţi morminte. 49 Tocmai de aceea înţelepciunea lui Dumnezeu a spus: Le voi trimite profeţi şi apostoli şi îi vor ucide şi îi vor prigoni pe unii dintre ei, 50 pentru ca sângele tuturor profeţilor, care s-a vărsat de la crearea lumii să se ceară de la acest neam, 51 de la sângele lui Abel până la sângele lui Zaharia, ucis între altar şi sanctuar. Da, vă spun, de la neamul acesta va fi cerut. 52 Vai vouă, învăţători ai Legii fiindcă aţi luat cheia cunoaşterii. Nici voi n-aţi intrat şi nici pe cei care voiau să intre nu i-aţi lăsat.” 53 După ce a ieşit El de acolo, cărturarii şi fariseii au început să se înverşuneze împotriva lui şi să-l stârnească să vorbească despre multe, 54 întinzându-i curse ca să să-l prindă cu vreunul dintre cuvintele sale. Luke 6 1 Şi, într-o sâmbătă, s-a întâmplat ca Iisus să treacă prin nişte lanuri de grâu. Iar ucenicii lui au început să culeagă spice de grâu şi, frecându-le în mâini, să le mănânce. 2 Unii dintre farisei au spus: „De ce faceţi ce nu este îngăduit sâmbăta?” 3 Iisus le-a răspuns: „Oare n-aţi citit ce a făcut David când a flămânzit, el şi cei care îl însoţeau? 4 Cum a intrat în casa lui Dumnezeu, a luat pâinile punerii înainte, pe care nu este îngăduit să le mănânce decât preoţii, a mâncat şi le-a dat şi celor care erau cu el?” 5 Şi le zicea: „Fiul Omului este Domn al sâmbetei.” 6 În altă sâmbătă a intrat în sinagogă şi învăţa. Şi acolo era un om cu mâna dreaptă uscată. 7 Iar cărturarii şi fariseii îl pândeau să vadă dacă vindecă sâmbăta ca să aibă pentru ce-l învinui. 8 Însă El le cunoştea gândurile şi i-a spus omului cu mâna uscată: „Ridică-te şi stai în mijloc.” Şi s-a ridicat şi a stat. 9 Iisus le-a spus: „Vă întreb dacă sâmbăta este îngăduit să faci bine sau să faci rău, să salvezi o viaţă sau să o pierzi?” 10 Şi privindu-i de jur împrejur pe toţi, i-a zis: „Întinde-ţi mâna!” Omul a făcut aşa şi mâna i s-a vindecat. 11 Şi ei s-au umplut de furie şi vorbeau între ei ce să-i facă lui Iisus. 12 În zilele acelea Iisus a ieşit să se roage şi a petrecut toată noaptea în rugăciune către Dumnezeu. 13 Când s-a făcut ziuă, şi-a chemat ucenicii şi a ales dintre ei doisprezece pe care i-a numit apostoli: 14 Simon, pe care l-a numit Petru, şi Andrei, fratele său, Iacov, Ioan, Filip, Bartolomeu, 15 Matei, Toma, Iacov al lui Alfeu, Simon numit Zelotul, 16 Iuda al lui Iacov şi Iuda Iscarioteanul, care a ajuns trădător. 17 Şi a coborât împreună cu ei. S-a oprit pe un câmp şi erau acolo o mulţime de ucenici şi mult popor din toată Iudeea, Ierusalim şi din ţinutul de coastă al Tirului şi Sidonului, 18 care veniseră să-l asculte şi să fie vindecaţi de boli. Erau vindecaţi şi unii care erau tulburaţi de duhuri necurate. 19 Toată mulţimea încerca să-l atingă fiindcă puterea care ieşea din El îi vindeca pe toţi. 20 Iar El şi-a ridicat ochii spre ucenicii săi şi a spus: „Fericiţi voi, cei săraci, căci a voastră este Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu. 21 Fericiţi voi, cei care acum sunteţi flămânzi, căci vă veţi sătura. Fericiţi voi, cei care plângeţi acum, căci veţi râde. 22 Fericiţi veţi fi când oamenii vă vor urî, când vă vor izgoni şi vă vor batjocori şi vor şterge numele vostru socotindu-l rău din pricina Fiului Omului. 23 Bucuraţi-vă şi săltaţi de veselie în ziua aceea. Pentru că iată, plata voastră va fi mare în cer; fiindcă la fel făceau părinţii lor cu profeţii. 24 Dar vai vouă, celor bogaţi, pentru că v-aţi primit mângâierea. 25 Vai vouă, celor care sunteţi sătui acum, căci veţi flămânzi. Vai vouă, care râdeţi acum, pentru că veţi jeli şi veţi plânge. 26 Vai vouă, când toţi oamenii vă vor vorbi de bine, fiindcă tot aşa făceau şi părinţii lor cu profeţii falşi. 27 Iar vouă celor ce ascultaţi vă spun: iubiţi-vă duşmanii, faceţi bine celor care vă urăsc, 28 binecuvântaţi pe cei care vă blestemă, rugaţi-vă pentru cei care vă defăimează. 29 Celui care te loveşte peste un obraz, întoarce-i-l şi pe celălalt, iar pe cel care îţi ia haina, nu-l opri să-ţi ia şi cămaşa. 30 Dă-le tuturor celor care îţi cer şi nu cere înapoi de la cel care îţi ia lucrurile. 31 Aşa cum vreţi să vă facă vouă oamenii, faceţi-le şi voi la fel. 32 Şi dacă îi iubiţi pe cei care vă iubesc, ce mulţumire aveţi? Şi păcătoşii îi iubesc pe cei care-i iubesc pe ei. 33 Şi dacă faceţi bine celor ce vă fac bine, ce mulţumire aveţi? Şi păcătoşii fac aşa. 34 Şi dacă daţi cu împrumut celor de la care speraţi să primiţi înapoi, ce mulţumire aveţi? Şi păcătoşii dau cu împrumut păcătoşilor ca să ia înapoi întocmai. 35 Voi însă iubiţi-vă duşmanii, faceţi bine şi daţi cu împrumut fără să aşteptaţi ceva înapoi, iar plata voastră va fi mare şi veţi fi fiii Celui Preaînalt, pentru că El este bun şi cu cei nerecunoscători şi răi. 36 Fiţi milostivi precum şi Tatăl vostru este milostiv. 37 Nu judecaţi şi nu veţi fi judecaţi, nu condamnaţi şi nu veţi fi condamnaţi. Iertaţi şi vi se va ierta, 38 daţi şi vi se va da: măsură bună, îndesată şi scuturată, gata să se verse, aşa vi se va pune în braţe, căci cu măsura cu care măsuraţi vi se va măsura înapoi.” 39 Şi le-a spus o pildă: „Poate un orb să călăuzească alt orb? Oare nu vor cădea amândoi în groapă? 40 Ucenicul nu este mai mare decât învăţătorul, dar orice ucenic desăvârşit va fi asemenea învăţătorului său. 41 De ce vezi paiul din ochiul fratelui tău, dar bârna din ochiul tău nu o iei în seamă? 42 Cum poţi spune fratelui tău: Frate, lasă-mă să-ţi scot paiul din ochi, când tu nu vezi bârna din ochiul tău! Ipocritule! Scoate mai întâi bârna din ochiul tău şi apoi vei vedea limpede paiul din ochiul fratelui tău ca să-l scoţi. 43 Nu există pom bun care să dea rod rău şi nici pom rău care să dea rod bun. 44 Fiecare pom după rodul său se cunoaşte, fiindcă nu se culeg smochine din spini şi nici struguri din mărăcini. 45 Omul bun scoate din visteria bună a inimii sale ceea ce este bun, căci gura grăieşte din prea plinul inimii, pe când cel rău scoate din vistieria lui rea ceea ce este rău. 46 De ce mă chemaţi: Doamne, Doamne!, dar nu faceţi ce vă spun? 47 Vă voi arăta cu cine seamănă cel care vine la mine, ascultă cuvintele mele şi le împlineşte: 48 se aseamănă cu un om care construieşte o casă, care a săpat adânc şi a pus temelia pe stâncă; au crescut apele, a izbit puhoiul în casa aceea, dar n-a putut să o clintească pentru că era bine construită. 49 Astfel, cel care ascultă dar nu împlineşte este asemenea omului care şi-a construit casa pe pământ, fără temelie. A izbit puhoiul şi îndată casa aceea s-a prăbuşit, iar căderea ei a fost mare.” Mark 11 1 Now when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples 2 and said to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. 3 If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.’” 4 And they went away and found a colt tied at a door outside in the street, and they untied it. 5 And some of those standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?” 6 And they told them what Jesus had said, and they let them go. 7 And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it. 8 And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. 9 And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!” 11 And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve. 12 On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. 13 And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it. 15 And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. 16 And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. 17 And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.” 18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it and were seeking a way to destroy him, for they feared him, because all the crowd was astonished at his teaching. 19 And when evening came they went out of the city. 20 As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. 21 And Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them. 10 And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. 11 And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12 And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. 13 And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 “But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 15 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything out, 16 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 17 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! 18 Pray that it may not happen in winter. 19 For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will be. 20 And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days. 21 And then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. 22 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. 23 But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand. 24 “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, 25 and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. 28 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 30 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. 32 “But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Be on guard, keep awake. But you will not always have me. 8 She has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand for burial. 9 And truly, I say to you, wherever the gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told in memory of her.” 10 Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went to the chief priests in order to betray him to them. 11 And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. Amin! 14 Dacă le iertaţi oamenilor greşelile, şi Tatăl vostru care este în ceruri vă va ierta. 15 Dar dacă nu le iertaţi oamenilor greşelile, nici Tatăl vostru nu vă va ierta greşelile. 16 Când postiţi, să nu vă luaţi o înfăţişare posomorâtă ca făţarnicii, care îşi întunecă feţele, ca să le arate oamenilor că postesc. Adevărat vă spun, şi-au luat deja răsplata! 17 Tu însă, când posteşti, unge-ţi capul şi spală-ţi faţa, 18 ca să arăţi că posteşti, nu oamenilor, ci Tatălui tău, care este în ascuns, şi Tatăl tău, care vede în ascuns, te va răsplăti. 19 Nu vă strângeţi comori pe pământ, unde le mănâncă moliile şi rugina şi unde le sapă şi le fură hoţii, 20 ci strângeţi-vă comori în cer, unde nu le mănâncă moliile şi rugina şi unde hoţii nu le sapă, nici nu le fură, 21 pentru că unde este comoara voastră, acolo va fi şi inima voastră. 22 Ochiul este lumina trupului. Dacă ochiul tău este sănătos, tot trupul tău va fi plin de lumină, 23 dar dacă ochiul tău este rău, tot trupul îţi va fi plin de întuneric. Aşadar, dacă lumina care este în tine este întuneric, cât de mare trebuie să fie întunericul acesta! 24 Nimeni nu poate sluji la doi stăpâni, pentru că, sau îl va urî pe unul şi îl va iubi pe celălalt, sau va ţine la unul şi-l va nesocoti pe celălalt. Oare viaţa nu înseamnă mai mult decât hrana, şi trupul mai mult decât îmbrăcămintea? 26 Uitaţi-vă la păsările cerului: nici nu seamănă, nici nu seceră şi nici nu strâng nimic în grânare. Şi totuşi Tatăl vostru din ceruri le hrăneşte. Oare nu sunteţi voi cu mult mai de preţ decât ele? 27 Şi apoi, care dintre voi, chiar îngrijorându-se, poate să adauge măcar un cot la înălţimea lui? 28 Şi de ce vă îngrijoraţi pentru haine? Uitaţi-vă cu atenţie la crinii de pe câmp: nici nu torc şi nici nu ţes. 29 Şi totuşi vă spun că nici măcar Solomon, în toată măreţia lui, nu s-a îmbrăcat ca vreunul dintre aceştia. 30 Dacă Dumnezeu îmbracă astfel iarba de pe câmp, care astăzi este, dar mâine va fi aruncată în cuptor, nu vă va îmbrăca El cu mult mai mult şi pe voi, puţin credincioşilor? 31 Nu vă îngrijoraţi deci zicând: Ce vom mânca? sau: Ce vom bea? sau: Cu ce ne vom îmbrăca? 32 Toate aceste lucruri le caută şi neamurile. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. 26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
